My cricut did not come with this cart. I have been kind of keeping an eye out for a decent deal on it on evilbay and wherever, but I thought I'd ask here if you guys really use it very often?

I use mine a lot for the basic shapes. Circles, triangles...

I don't care for the font, but I like it for cutting shapes now and then - I don't really have anything else with just basic shapes on it, well, Plantin Schoolbook, but that really doesn't have very many. George is how I usually cut circles if I don't have a punch in the right size. It also (I just realized) has a couple nice speech bubbles if that's your thing.

Wow, actually, maybe circles are ALL I've ever used it for, which is kinda sad. I thought I had used it for a star, but no, that was a Sizzix die.

Jarvae, this is sooooo your lucky day! I do have 2 of these carts. My Cricut came with it, I have no clue where I got the second one. But I have an extra, and if you play your cards right, it could be yours

See, it just proves what an individual lot we all are. I've never used mine for the shapes on it, lol! But I do like the font, that's all I've ever used it for.

LOL!!! I wish I had something in my vault to fall out the window and into the mailbox for a page of tags! Alas, all I've got in there are uncut diamonds, tried and true treasure maps, and scads of nonsequential, unmarked bills.

Ms Jarvae, I know McKinney is a small town, but I probably need an actual address to put on the package, lol. Although the mail carrier probably could get it to you with just a name, lol!

I know. This place is amazing. What's really amazing is how quickly we get answers here, and yet how many hours I spend here every single day. LOL.

Me too, lol! I pop in every chance I get all day at work, just to see what I'm missing, then stay in here all evening until I have to force myself to go to sleep.

I'm so glad you got it! Very cool.

I don't have either one of those so you will have to give me your opinion Jarvae!

I use that cart all the time.

It has the basics & seems to get the job done anytime I need something simple & to the point.

Enjoy!

It's actually just one cart, Henri Jean, but the name makes it sound like 2, lol. It has what I think is a good everyday font and then lots of the basic geometric shapes on it. It used to come standard with the original machines because it is a good basic cart to get started with. I still use it quite a bit, as I said earlier I really like the font so it is my go to cart when I want something quick and basic.

Well if anyone else has an extra George that's unlinked I might be able to have some goodies fall out of the window too! Like Jarve been watching evilbay and it's way to expensive

Mine came with that cart and I do use it. Well I have to say my DGS uses it. It was one of those things I had to have but very rarely gets used.

Jane, I've been finding that their prices are coming down. For a while they were pretty high but last night I found an unlinked one for $15 and a new in box one for $30. I think it might have to do with the time that I was looking... I let them both go and neither had a single bid. But other times they'll have several bids. I just wait those out.

My Cricut did not come with George and Basic neither. I will be on the lookout for one. Did they only come with the Cricut or did they have them in the stores for sale also?

It only came with the "Cricut Personal", the one that only cuts 6x12. Even that may have been coming with a different cartridge lately.

I got my cricut personal a few years ago (4 years I think) and it didn't come with George, it came with Don Juan, which I never use.

Oh, was that maybe a Cricut Create? I forgot there was another 6x12 machine, and I think that's the one that came with Don Juan.

Oh you're totally right mine wasn't the personal... it was the baby bug. I just remember it was 6"x12" and I needed to upgrade! LOL

Does anyone remember a few years back where someone figured out how to make a George cartridge out of cardboard and foil. ( I believe that's what it was )
From what I read back then, George is installed on every machine because that is how they get tested at the factory.

Trish, I have seen that. I actually tried it but sad to say it didn't work for me. I might have been doing it wrong... I didn't exactly spend a ton of time on it. I just gave it the ol' 5 minute try and then decided to just find the cart.

Thanks for reminding me of this cartridge! I have it (think I bought it on Ebay) and don't get it out nearly enough.
