The wire on my Fiskars trimmer is shredding! Not only am I losing my wire bit by bit but it's causing problems making clean cuts!! Any assistance would be much appreciated!

I went to their website and it says their products have a lifetime warranty.
So I will call them tomorrow, when they are open, and see what they say.

I had the same problem with my trimmer and I emailed them and they sent me 2 replacement pieces with the wires. I have gotten so use to the wire I don't think I could use any different paper trimmer.

That happened to me. Called Fiskars and they sent me a replacement, no questions asked. Made it worth every penny I paid for the trimmer. And switching the old out for the new was no problem. Good Luck!

You don't have to wait. Take a photo of the trimmer and email their customer service tonight with the photo attached and your complaint. They will replay back in a few days and then send you a new trimmer. This has happened to me twice on the same trimmer you have, there is no easy way to replace the wire so they send you a new trimmer.

I had them replace a punch that wouldn't punch all the way through and didn't ask for the old one back. Friend of mine had her husband tear it apart and was able to get it working right so she ended up with a punch. Like she said she didn't have anything to lose

Oh wow! That was fast!!!!!

Look at the e-mail I just received:

"Warranty Claims
If you have submitted a warranty claim online, consider your claim handled and you will receive a replacement part or a new tool within 3-4 weeks. There will be no additional follow up unless we need further clarification. Our normal business hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (CST)."

I sent my e-mail at 8:06 and received a reply at 8:08.
I realize it was a computer generated reply, but based on what it says, I think I'm good now!
Awesome!
Hopefully I do get a replacement!

I re-visiting this to sing Fiskars praises!
The last time I checked in, Fiskars was sending me a replacement piece. I received it shortly after they sent me the e-mail that they were going to do so. I received the replacement part and attached it to my trimmer and it worked good as new.
Just a couple of weeks ago I was having the same exact problem! Booooo!
So then I thought maybe it was due to the replacement blade I bouight; maybe I had bought the wrong one??
I e-mailed fiskars again, explaining the situation and asked them if could maybe send me a replacement blade to see if that was in fact the problem. I honestly figured they wouldn't bother sending me anything, after all they had already sent me some free merchandise and most likely the problem I was having was my fault anyway...

Well...

I have 2 Fiskars trimmers, and I've never had any trouble from either one of them. Never had the wire fray or any problem at all. But it's great to know if I ever do experience any problems, they stand behind their products!

I have that trimmer and it is my favorite. ( I have 5 trimmers) I allowed a batch of young students to use mine and the wire frayed. Fiskars did a great job of replacing it and sending the directions so I could remove the old one and put in the new one. I really, really like being able to see where I will be cutting because the wire shows me that line.

I have one Fiskars trimmer on my scrap desk and another one just like it that stays packed in my crop wagon. I have duplicates of all my tools like that so I don't have to pack and unpack them or worry about forgetting them.

I was using an old cm trimmer which was barely working. Now, i feel like a new woman with the fiskars!
