for me right now its being able to share the things I like to do. I just joined some swapping groups. This keeps me from being bored when I have nothing to do. I like to scrap because, I find ways to use my pictures that are just laying around collecting dust. Now I can share them in albums all dressed up.

A hobby, not an obsession.

Some people seem more obsessed with buying supplies, rather than creating anything.

For me it is relaxing and enjoyable but I don't get but a bit of time to work on anything.

I would say it's a passion.

A fun thing that has made me a lot of friends.

I love the social aspect but I love the feeling I get when I create something from nothing.

It's a great hobby but to me it's almost more about the friendships.

A mission...to put all my photos in albums, but to do it creatively, making beautiful memories come to life. And if it gives me pleasure, peace, and therapy...well, all the better!

My first thought is collector, then it was artist, then it was time waster, therapy sounds better or historian. Yes I like the historian one.

Scrapbooking is a way of life for me. It's more than just a hobby. It's become part of my life, the way I celebrate and document my life and my family's life. It's also a means of expression, both visual and written, and an outlet for my creativity.

Cheaper than therapy! I can go into my scrap room and it's almost zen-like. I lose myself in my "work". It's a great pleasure and I have something beautiful to show for it when I walk out! I find myself spending more and more time in there. Love it!

I like Chris' - for me it is a mission to have our entire married life together organized attractively in books that we can enjoy when we get really old - a way to remember all the small details that would otherwise be forgotten.

Its also a way for my grandchildren to know us and to learn about travel and places when I am gone. I do a ton of research in my journaling and its because I enjoy it but it is mostly because I want to continue to teach my grandchildren after I'm gone. When they see us in front of the pyramids I also want them to learn all about the pyramids from what I've written. Or Pompeii or all about the customs of the Indonesian culture and why there are cows wandering all over the streets of India. Its all explained in my scrapbooks.

Mission is a good word.

The other word I like is posterity.

And hopefully to help my grandchildren learn.
