Welcome to the Round Robin Challenge!

I'm going to take on this challenge for a while for Sally/Pat.

Because it is too confusing to keep changing our posting day, we will be sticking with Mondays for now.

Week 1 posts on March 10
Week 2 posts on March 17
Week 3 posts on March 24
Week 4 posts on March 31

Sign-ups will be open until March 5, or until we fill groups. Groups will be posted as they get filled. First round specs and twist will be posted by March 2.

Tell me your PREFERENCE first, then list any impossible weeks. If something comes up and you are not able to complete your week, please let us know ASAP. Thanks!

What is the Round Robin Challenge? Glad you asked. There are teams of 4 people, one person for each week. The person assigned for week 1 in each group will start their team off with a layout depending on what the specs and twist will be. Then the following week, everyone assigned to week 2 will lift off their week 1 team member and so on. It's fun to see how a lift progresses from the first week to the fourth. Any questions, please feel free to ask any of us!

Note on embedding:

ALLOWING PUBLIC EMBEDDING:
1. Go to the layout in your gallery.
2. Click on 'Edit Image' tab under the layout.
3. Scroll down to the bottom left side.
4. Check the box that says, ‘Allow Public Embedding’.

LINKING LAYOUTS TO THE THREAD:
1. Go to the layout in your gallery.
2. Click on 'Link/Embed Image' link in the 'Share & Link' box to the left of the layout.
3. Click on 'IMG code' button.
4. Copy and paste the code which starts [url...] into the forum thread.

Starting Inspiration:
We've all been having weather woes, so I thought we'd do a little gallery searching for this month's inspiration. So week 1, do a gallery search for layouts (and digitals!) on the word Wind. (Or here is a link where I already did the search Gallery Search ) Choose your inspiration from what that finds and share it with us here when you post your layout. Happy hunting!
Optional Twist: Include something weather related - in the embellies, papers or photos.

Sandra other than the wet, I love it here!

currently working on a bunch of layouts from Glasgow Green - so close to our place - about 15 mins on the bus.

Then I have Glasgow Cathedral to do and the Necropolis - what a place!

The people are brilliant!

Welcome! The girls here are wonderful, and always willing to help out or answer questions.

Will week 4 work for you? You will be lifting a LO from week 3 that will be posted on the 24th, and it will be due on the 31st.

yes ma'am that sounds great! I look forward to it! This might seem mighty dumb but I cannot find the little teal button that says "Join" to push- because the only place I can find this challenge is in the forum. Is this okay?

Also, I mostly scrap for my grandmother- so I send her the finished pages for her to put her pictures in. I rarely have LO's with photos on them. Is this okay too?

see being week 1, I ain't so crazy about it but we'll see what I manage. I don't like having to think too hard and it took me a couple hours to even understand it - it doesn't have to be about wind - it is just to be inspired by one of those layouts I am hoping.

Birdsong - no pictures is no problem. This challenge doesn't have a gallery of its own, so this is where you join. Also, do you have a name you like to go by?

Tammy, I'm sorry I didn't explain it too well. Just click on this link ( Link ) and choose any of the layouts that set your creativity flowing to lift. It does NOT have to be about wind or even weather; that was just my starting point. As for the optional twist, anything weather related will work: sun, clouds, umbrella or sunshade, even flip-flops. Does that help?

Tammy, you crack me up It's wet in Glasgow, naw itisnae, Glesga, wet!! Never in my dreams would I have thought that. LOL.

One of my auntie's used to live 5 minutes from Glasgow Green. Glasgow Cathedral looks wee from the outside, but it's HUGE!!! Have you been to the wee hoose across the road, the hoose where Mary Queen of Scots stayed one night on her way to London?

You're even starting to talk like us, saying the people are brilliant, but it's supposed to be pur deed brilliant!!! LOL I'm joking with you. So glad you like it, and remember always carry ur brolle, hen!!

I can even roll my r's now without thinking about it.

Haven't been to the wee hoose yet but will do.

such a pretty name Callie!

I picked my inspiration and then got lost in her gallery - I think it might be a tough layout to do though - the subject matter but I need to do it. It is about my friend Annie whom I lost 4 months ago.

Tammy - good for you for doing a hard one. Tackling the tough topics can be so healing.

I am loving the conversation between you and MS Glasgow herself (aka Sandra). You are living in a place I have always wanted to visit. Land of some of my ancestors.

Callie - I too love your name. And your "sort of" hippie name too. A little birdsong right now would be wonderful to hear.

Why do we have to wait a whole 5 more days?? Insert whine here...

I love talking to Sandra too - funny thing is I can hear someone saying it as she talks - every now and then they get a blank stare from me and laugh cause they know I have no idea what they said.

There is a whole website that teaches the dialect if you will.

TAMMY - Why go to the website when I can teach it to you, but then you're living in the 'real world' of pali-ammo. Had any Irn Bru yet?

MARY - Glasgow is a fantastic place to visit (no bias there), and people to meet. I hope that one day you get to go and tread Argyle St and Sauchiehall St, and many of the streets inbetween.

Lovin' the convo, ladies! Ah, Scotland! If I weren't terrified of air travel.....

Tammy, so sorry to hear of your loss, but good for you for taking the plunge to scrap and make another step in the healing. Lost my first husband in 1998...chronic pancreatitis...just reaching the point where I want to scrap his life, pre-me, for the kids. 'Course, a new husband in '03 and more babies helped delay that, too!

Callie-Hi! Love your avatar! and agree on the name(s)!

Lyn I don't think it was that you didn't explain yourself - I think I was overwhelmed by the choice so needed to clarify.

still it got me to see some wonderful artists there and it was my first time being week 1 so starting off the ball is a bit more of a challenge then just following it!

Sandra and Tammy you know what is strange - I can hear your conversation too... in the right pronunciations... I have known a few Scots in my day and could listen to them all day long.

Tammy you might be surprised one day at who is sleeping in that extra bed...how long are you in Glasgow for?

Hey all, checking in to let you know I haven't fallen off the edge of the earth! HaHa!

We're finally done with the birthday marathon, but all the doings for all the kiddies kinda stole my scrapping drive, especially any inspiration that was still hanging with me. I'm working on my LO, for this challenge, but struggling. I hope to have it done to post tonight, or maybe early tomorrow morning.

Sandra - we were in Balloch yesterday - so which clan are you of my lass? Loch Lomond was it's ever wonderful self. There is still snow on Ben Lomond.
(what I didn't know is we of the Buchanan clan have lands thereabouts too).

I'm of the Colquhoun clan from the village of Luss, right on the bank of Loch Lomond, and where the Scottish soap, Take The High Road was filmed. If you ever go there, go to the church and see the Viking gravestone.

Balloch is beautiful. I don't know if it's still open but go to Balloch castle, the grounds are so pretty. For some peace and quiet my Aunt and Granny would go to Balloch.

So you're of the Buchanan clan, awesoeme!! You also have a bus station and a street named after your clan!!

Where do you live again? I was telling my Aunt about you (all good), and I couldn't remember where you live.

we were in Luss back in January. What a lovely little place - we plan to go visit and spend some time there and the church is famous!

We live on Roystonhill by the Townhead spire

The castle itself is no longer open to the public but they are working on refurbishing but we did go around the grounds - love it there.

Mary - it is our home for what I assume to be the next 12 years! You are more than welcome to come visit.

We love our adopted home and city!

TAMMY - I don't know if it's still the Glasgow motto, but it was, GLASGOW SMILES BETTER, and I have a t-shirt with it on.

I shall have to check out the motto Sandra! We joined a little group here - our first outing is next Sunday - we are going to Maxwell Park.

There are people at work who say we have seen more of Glasgow in the few months we have been here then they have their whole lives!
