Me again please!! I can't believe I didn't do a single twist in October. btw - Sorry for the late bomb!

Norma - did they mention bursitis for your shoulder issue??

We celebrated my new birthday - one year since my accident and I can definitely relate to the shoulder pain - thankfully it's not over the top all the time anymore, but boy there sure are some times when I could just scream. Still trying to get to point where I can push arms straight up over my head. I'm so missing not being able to do my Yoga classes

Good thing is scrapping has been fantastic "occupational" therapy, especially since I keep supplies on opposite side of my work area so I have to stretch to get my cutter and supplies.

Can't wait to see what everyone does this month!

Linda

Norma, so sorry you are still having such pain! Take care
and hope you get relief soon. Prayers!

Count me in for November. It will be a busy month for everyone! DH will be having surgery on the 20th so our Thanksgiving will be quiet! I should have plenty of scrapping time...in between "honey, will you?"

It's November!

Random.org picked October winners:

RAK #1 (cricut cartridge) Michelle (melissadam)

RAK #2 Marci (MarciLB)

Congratulations and thanks playing!

Marci I have you addy! Michelle I will be in touch later!

Good morning! Icy pads are helping, though now have pain in my leg and arm that has nothing to do with shoulder. I am dog sitting and I blocked off the landing upstairs with a baby gate so the dogs could not get up there and bark at the trick or treaters. I forgot about it and when I was going to my scraproom last night I tripped over it. The thud was so loud it woke DH. I had to lay there for a while making sure I had not broken anything. DH came to check on me and I was laughing and crying so much he was getting ready to take me to the ER. No broken broken bones, (broke the baby gate) lots of bruises, I am very sore this morning, mostly embarrassed. Life is certainly an adventure

I have not scrapped in a few days, hoping to get to my desk sometime today. Happy Sunday.

Oh rap Norma, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry with you?? A chuckle escaped then knowing you will have more bumps and bruises brought out an Oh No! Will that be a good excuse to sit and scrap today??

The weather will be keeping everyone indoors today so thats good enough for me to scrap!! Besides I love working with fall colors and pictures. I'm just going to check the twist for November again to see if I can get it on a layout. I never did get a pumpkin done in October but will have one for November!!

Norma - same reaction as your DH. So glad it wasn't anything major - probably why your legs ache.

Spent all the game time trying to organize my scrap goals. I know I didn't get the twist last month, but definitely have no excuse for this month. I need lots of leaves, but I realized my "organization" has now blocked my Cricut! What was I thinking?!?

Sharon - I'm blaming all this wet stuff on you blowing it away!!

Scored some super deals at Joann's on way home from hiking - Got 5 5x7 Darice embossing folders for $10, Artbin case to hold my large stamp sets for $3, and best score (for me) was Totally Tiffany Scrap Rack 5-pack of Expanding Project Planner Pages for $10 - without any coupons!! I'm SOOOO in love with the TT planner pages. They're super durable. I think these are a definite MUST HAVE for crops. SB has similar product, but I think plastic is lighter weight and does not have the opening between front and back pockets. I wish they had more of these!

I'm just impressed that there is sunlight somewhere in this country that you were able to take photos!! Way to go Tina.
Contrary to Linda's belief of me blowing the rain her way, we still have about 24 hours to go!! Besides, Norma started it!!

On to the next project as soon as I clear space on my table!

Well, the rain is still hanging around my house, maybe I was just trying to share. I have been loving this cooler weather, made Potato soup yesterday and watching the Cowboys play with a cup of hot chocolate.

Love the bomb Tina.

I have moved papers around my desk part of the afternoon and not scrapped a darn thing yet, maybe later after everyone goes home after Walking Dead

It was beautiful here today (rained over night) and hit 70 which is very warm for Nov. in Iowa. It is also predicted to stay that temp for a few days which stinks since we are leaving for Cancun and they are saying rain everyday there.

I do hope that rain is not causing you any difficulties Norma. I see there has been a lot of flooding but if it is like most places, the flooding happens in the same low areas of town, and it looks like they are showing the same areas (film footage) over and over. Looks like some nasty stuff if you happen to have to travel thru flood zones. I don't mind sharing the rain.....

I wish we had some cooler weather here, I thought it might come in after the rains but they are saying it will be in the 80's most of the week. Ah well, it could be worse.

Oh my Tina - fantastic bomb! Have fun on your vacation.

Enjoyed spending the afternoon getting acu on love and reorganizing my stash into my new storage items. I can finally see my Cricut again. The good thing about bad weather is it makes you stay home and do stuff that needs to be done - laundry, vacuum, etc., especially after being gone 3 weekends in a row.

Sharon - I think you really did such a great job with the rain, can you blow some of that nice warm 80 degree weather our way!!

Does any one have any idea of how to keep a pesky woodpecker from boring holes into the stucco around our palladium window?? We had to spend quite a few bucks last Fall to fix damage and repaint and now there's 4 more holes (not small either).

JCI - had a great day and it was a beautiful 72 here.
I think maybe snow on Wednesday

Norma, ouch on the incident.
Hope you heal quickly.

I had the girls since yesterday at 11.
They were all pretty good ( #3 has been having listening issues lately) for the most part, but it just wears me out and the constant mess gets to me!

I'm very tired! They all sleep in my room ( don't know why they won't sleep in DGD3 bedroom) so I usually don't get a good night sleep when they're here.

Well crud, I think my Mac just crashed!! I was taking my morning shower while cutting snowflakes for a layout when the poser flickered off then back on. I had several windows open plus design studio.........now I can't even turn on the machine! Too frustrating! DS will be here in an hour, maybe there is something he can do?? If all fails a new hard drive might be in order and that is as much work as setting up a new machine!!! Plus all of the lost photos, but then I don't use a computer to back them up or store them for that matter.

No posted photos till I get it fixed!!

Scratch all this!! After calming down and cutting a few images (DH's PC) I plugged my Mac in again and held the button down till it started!! Whew!

Good morning fellow scrappers.

Congrats to Marci and Michelle. Well done. It was a stunning victory!

Now I must address the whole weather thing. It is 28 degrees and snowing. It is suppose to go up to 33 and we have freezing rain advisories to contend with. I will gladly trade with anybody. A little rain??? Tee-hee.

Norma, oh my gosh...your description of the gate crash makes me hurt. Hope you aren't too bruised and sore. Sending good thoughts.

I was just reading my email from Cricut and they aren't going to do the regular cartridges anymore - only digital. What the heck is up with that??? I can't go digital in the RV. What is a dinosaur to do???

ACU and have a great week.

Terri - I knew this would happen with Cricut sooner than later. I'll have to keep my Expression in good working order and start buying all the carts I can at garage sales and cut the old fashioned way when I don't have internet access. Don't complain too much about the freezing temps since I know you're heading to the Gulf Coast

Sharon - it seems I may be heading to "the dark side of Silhouette" with you when I decide to make my next purchase...

btw DH traded in his car so I could have a crop friendly vehicle...we got a used Town-N-Country with stow-n-go...I told him it would be perfect for traveling with our bikes - they'd be inside during trips and we wouldn't have to worry about thefts when stopping at restaurants and hotels. Wish we had it last week for trip to FL - It was phenomenal weather for biking!

Can't wait to get home and start my projects...was in CCR during lunch working on titles!!

I was wondering what was up with the sale on the Circuit site. I looked early this morning as saw that digital images were more expensive than cartridges!! That was a first but if they are switching to all digital then it makes sense, if you call making digital image more expensive sensible!!! I hate to hear they are doing away with cartridges but can't say I am surprised!! This way there will be no resale of used cartridges, people will have to spend money to get digital just like Silhouette. Although you can use/get lots of free things to cut with a Silhouette.

Wow!!!
I too, knew it would happen with the carts but I am surprised it came so soon.
I think that really stinks for people with older machines who need the carts. Just doesn't seem fair to me.

Guess I should check out the sale.

It did not look like much of sale, it was just that the digital images were marked in red while the cartridge prices were in black..... makes me think sale..... but the prices did not reflect anywhere close to a good sale.

Cartridges and More always has lots of ...... well cartridges and I see re releases every now and then?? I can only assume there will be some out there for a time, just nothing new!

I will return to my cutting and try to finish up the Christmas page I have been working on.

Thank for the support in my time of depression. I do think it stinks that they won't have actual cartridges anymore. Me thinks it is a clever business decision to force me to buy the explorer. Thanks for the idea to look at garage sales. I still have a few I want and when spring comes, I'll keep my eyes open.

Have fun Tina. Don't forget the camera!

ACU.

Now that I am recovered from reading Sharon's post all the way through. PHEW on the computer!!!

Terri, what a great DH you have!

While I am really upset that there will be no more cartridges...I have to remind myself that I use CCR just about exclusively these days. Still, grrrr. AND I asked my mom for an Explore for Christmas. That might just make it all better;)

I had some friends call a last minute crop on Sunday. These are the girls that REALLY know how to scrap, several of us published back in the day etc. It was exactly what I needed to kick start my Project Life album. I got MONTHS caught up. Like from 3rd week of January to the END of MAY!!! I had thought that I might not make it for the New Years Day debut but now I'm on a mission. I just wish that Cricut had a Project Life cart! Oh, yeah, no more carts:(

It was especially great when my baby girl woke up the next morning with a raging fever and all she wanted was to look at her ABC scrapbook album I made her a couple months ago.

Well enough procrastinating, back to work!

Good morning!

Kristie, good job getting so much done- that has to feel good!!
There may not be a PL "cart" but maybe they'll have some PL "digital images" you can buy and use!!

It will be weird to make the switch. I already have several digital carts. But to never have a cart in your hand again??

Question??
Just thinking out loud here....
Couldn't someone use your account to use all your carts/images?
Like....if I gave my DD my username and password- couldn't she log on from her computer and use my acct
( providing I wasn't already logged in.)

I was just thinking w/o physical carts there would be no more sharing, so was wondering if you could share your acct?

Not that my DD wants to, was just using that as an example.

I assume that Cricut will keep the only 2 authorized computers per account rule. You are right Trish, no more sharing:(

I officially Had a melt down...this can't be true. It can't be. Whenever I go to the store and look at cartridges the ones, I want are always sold old I looked and it looks like the digital and cartridges are paired up where if you click on one, you can choose digital or cartridge.

*Sniffle Sniffle* I don't want to buy the new machine yet.

If I am not mistaken you can use ANY computer to log into your account and cut. I could be mistaken as it has been a long time since I have needed to use DIL's computer when visiting them to cut images and that would have been with an Expression or Create....... I do know you can only re load your Silhouette images three times. I am sure it is all subject to change. No matter what I will have a cutting machine.

The more I think about it I believe Kristie is right, only 2 authorized computers at a time....... who is to say one of those could be your DD or DIL??? I already use two at the house, one portable one not!

Kristie, glad you are in a scrapping groove right now, I need to get in a groove as I have a crop coming up in a week and a half. This might be one of those that I don't get mega pages done!!

Whew, that is good to know Jenny. Wonder if that is on all new cartridges going forward!!

I am just glad they are not getting rid of them.

Norma- I'm here - I'm here please add me

Vacation was great. Super tired. I need a vacation from the vacation. We got in shortly after midnight Sunday- really Monday- but after 6 hours sleep- my body thought it was time to get up at 6am as it was 8am where I had been. LOL My DH left for work (I tried to convince him to take just 1 more day off- like to help me unpack)- and thus I was getting coffee and going to work on getting suitcases unloaded & laundry started. That got changed when my dad came over and said he was so glad I was back & also up as he had a grocery list. So my morning changed to breakfast, coffee, shower then store instead of bumming in my PJs and doing laundry. I still have not unpacked as I had to catch up on my Use Your Stamps challenge and also post November's challenge. So I'm still here on the computer & wanted to make sure I did not miss the signups for this challenge.

Kristie- CTMH has a cart called Artfully Sent - it cuts PL cards. It cuts other cards as well- but has quite a few options for the 3x4 & 4x6 cards. I've used it quite a bit. I've also used the bg card- hiding the front layer & then adding an image from another cart to cut out what I want to fit in the pocket... Just a thought. Maybe we could get together sometime & I'll show it to you- let you check it out and see if you'd be interested. After all I'm not that far from you...

So- off to finish catching up on some other areas before I head back upstairs to actually unpack I so am not wanting to do that chore- I would rather take a nap- but since I put all the suitcases on the bed and opened them up to find my hair brush this morning- there is no bed to nap in

ACU on love and chatter! I am glad to hear that they are not getting rid of them too. I have one of the very first machines and use CCR but still like to have the physical cart! Hoping my munchkin gets back into a sleeping/napping routine so I can have some scrap time again. She has been over a week of little to no naps and staying up until midnight!

JENNY...say it isn't so??? I'm a little confused though. They sent an email telling me no more hard cartridges and they tell you the opposite. What the heck??? All I know is I'm searching for the few I really want and hope for the best.

I was wondering this same thing.

I'm going to say your email was probably more accurate.
And the person replying to her email was just sending out one of those "pacifying" emails.
It is just a matter of time before carts go by the way side- just like they did away with the overlay- they are gearing us toward an all online and digital format.
It's just anyone's guess as to when it will really be complete.
This is just my guess, of coarse.

I spoke to a gal one on one yesterday with the chat deal and she said they are not going to get rid of them cause there are to many costumers out there that still buy and use cartridges.

I used the Cricut Craft Room cartridge Cricut font and basic shapes for the circle in the upper left corner and then Art Philosophy for the tabs.

Oh that is too funny, I went to preview my post and saw I had a private massage pop up which I clicked on immediately!! There is no back space to recapture my post!!! Now I have to start over again!

I spent half the day trying to get this linked but one thing or another kept me from it.......

carts used: A Child Year, Artiste, Christmas (digital) for the snowflakes and Holly and Ivy for the title.

I'd love to get together Char! I will definitely check out that cart.

Spent today cleaning out my scraproom. Moved out the baby stuff, the kid stuff, the wrapping stuff, the charger cords, the trash;) all that is left is SCRAPPY stuff! Determined to keep it "my space."

BFF is coming tomorrow to crop and I have 6 more weeks of pictures printed. Hoping to add some Cricut something so I can share with y'all.

Hoping to get a little scrapping done between all the talking, laughing and WINE. Had to pack the bare minimum clothing wise so I could fit all my scrappin' stuff in my suitcase - LOL.

Good morning, I'm up earlier than I have been the last few weeks and ready to roll with whatever the day brings.

Welcome Tinkerbell, we are a friendly bunch.....

Have a blast Vickie, scrapping supplies are more important than clothes.

Kayla, I use the Silhouette pens in my Cricut, the short fat ones that I find easier to fit with no added attachment necessary. I don't know anything about the Cricut pens, just haven't had to check them out as I already had Silhouette pens that worked well with both machines.

I thought it might be a sticker, I can see why you didn't want to pass it up! I'll try my hand at cutting one, probably with an alternate machine........ I'm not very good with the Cricut at re-sizing layers but will give it a try. Thanks for inspiring me.

good morning.

Kenya sorry I missed you, you are on the front page, looking forward to seeing your projects this month.

I had a rough day yesterday. DH visited a friend about 2 hours away and I decided to go even though I was not feeling well. The drive over made my upset stomach worse and I felt terrible all day. We got home around 8p and I ate went to bed shortly there after. I am feeling much better today and hope to spend the bulk of the afternoon in my scraproom

Hope you all have a good day

Michelle, you are having some stinky luck in the whole house deal. Hope it moves forward quickly for you.

I wanted to stay in my scraproom all day, but had lunch with a friend, Walmart run, got my hair cut and now dinner and movie with girls from work.

Resting now in between.

I had a productive day just not in the scrapping department. Made two no sew fleece blankets with DIL, got a layout "kit" ready for the crop. Now that everyone has gone home for the day and I have three days to myself, DH is going with a buddy to local collage for a basketball game tonight so I plan on getting more "kits" ready then tomorrow I'm have lunch with quilting friends and spend the rest of the time scrapping or going to the Art Festival downtown.

I still have not gotten use to the time change I'm ready for dinner and the news!!

Sorry to hear about the snag in your house closing Michelle, hope it smooths out soon!!

Staying in the zone will get you caught up in no time Kristie!! I fell out in September and have not gotten back yet!!

I need to make a Walmart run too but it will have to wait for another day. I'm out of laundry soap and can find one of the ingredients I use to make my own detergent there.

Hope your good (better) feeling lasted all day Norma!

Going through old boxes and came across the pic of my GF - perfect timing for Veteran's Day LO. I'll add journaling regarding events, location, people, connection, USMC's 5th.

Michelle - sorry about the snag on move day! More time for bombs lol!

Sneaking in some time to catch up since dd is FINALLY asleep! That girl is such a night owl and she rarely naps too! Takes after her dad that way! She did cut her third tooth today but she was still a happy girl - just an AWAKE girl! She finally went to sleep at twenty minutes to midnight!

I have a page done (that I worked on over 5 days and it's not even that complicated!) Just no time to sit at my scrap space with little missy into everything! LOL! Will have to get a pic in the morning!
