Okay, I am sure I am not the first person to ask about adhesives on this site, however I am in a little bit of a pickle. So here's the problem. I am currently working on a card where I am adding depth by layering lighter weight paper over heavier weight cardstock, AKA using one sheet of paper the same size and adhering it to a piece of cardstock the same size as that. I'm also not distressing anything in this project, so I can't hide a mistake with a ruff edge, tearing, ect.. Now here's the pickle. I have to watch over my mother most of the day (thusly I have to work with her in the room) and she is extremely chemically sensitive , which means Zip Glue is out of the picture. So, since I have to line these papers up exactly, what do I use that won't wrinkle the paper, can be repositionable, is permanent, acid free and in the end won't kill my mother? I am fairly new to the scrapbooking/card-making world, so any help would be ever so much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I use Xyron sticker-makers for almost everything.
