With the start of the school year , I feel like this month is whizzing right by me! I haven't got a lot of scrapping done because I've been busy editing the photos from my London trip. I have just about given up on Costco printing services because my photos have been turning out so badly, so I'm trying to get together a large order for an online service. Hopefully my photos turn out better. . .

Sharon, I am having a heck of a time with cartridges.
Either I write it down and lose the paper, or I forget to write it down at all- and now they have made it even harder to get that info with the new update.
I just can't do it.

Trish, it is not too bad finding the cartridge information on the new DS. Maybe an extra step but it does give you the image name, the image #, and you can click on cartridge info to get the name of it.

On the "canvas" click on the colored circle next to the layers picture of your image
the layers attributes pops open
right below cut write score print - there is a little i
click on the i and it will give you the image name and number
then if you want to know the cartridge click on - view cartridge
that will give you the name of the cartridge.

You may already know that and it takes a click more to find the cartridge name and there is still the issue of losing the paper I write the cartridge name on!!!

Sharon, yes, remember you helped me find it - I think a few times already -LOL !!
Problem being- it's one more step- which may not sound like a big deal- but why are they making it harder to do the same thing- doesn't make sense.
But mostly it is because I get the lag - the swirly, whirly of death!! I think my computer needs a good cleaning!!
It just irritates me that I need to do more, wait longer, to get the same result.
Thanks for the directions again tho !!

Trish, not sure if it is your computer giving you the swirly, whirly of death or if it is the new updates...
I had to up date my operation system to be able to update to the new DS.... after that took place I noticed how slow everything had gotten!!
Now I am sure my computer needs to be cleaned out too so it could very well be that too!!!

A LO I completed yesterday from 2014, my kids first day of school, 5th and 6th grade. I used Locker Talk for the first day of school die cut, the pencil...I'm not sure as it was in my stash. The circle (cut into halves) on page two is from George.

yea - acu.

Norma - got my cart today Hope to get time to make cuts tomorrow night. Doing a volunteer night making cards for Project Mail Call - cards for military in remote posts so they can sign and send home to family and friends.

I can't get over all the devastation Harvey has caused. You may have heard me cheering the Lufkin TX LLWS team - they lost to Japan. I didn't recognize most of Rockport and if Harvey stalls over St. Louis, then Louisiana's going to get hammered with floods - again! I still don't get why people don't obey the law and evacuate - I mean this is the 3rd century flood in 18 months. Gas jumped .30 today - ridiculous!! I guess because Irma's heading our way.

Glad it finally arrived Linda.

I have heard some people complain about not evacuating Houston, but they just don't realize how hard it is to evacuate 6 million people on short notice. They tried evacuating during Hurricane Rita and cars were stuck for hundreds of miles trying to leave the city at the same time. Most ran out of gas and could not move. Many did not have water or food. I think that about 100 people died trying to evacuate. And quite honestly alot of people are just stubborn and think the worst will not happen to them.

My sister in law lives behind a bayou in south Houston. My FIL tried to get her to go to Katy to ride out the storm with him . She woke up Friday morning to 6 inches of water which quickly got above her knee as she was trying to gather her animals and move them to dry ground. A neighbor gave her a place to stay. The water receded today and there are lines on the walls that show the water rose to 3 feet in the house. And though my old neighborhood has been spared (so far) just about every neighborhood surrounding it has flooded areas and many many friends have 18 inches to 2 feet of water in their homes. Many have had to be rescued. I am worried about friends in my old neighborhood because they have been doing a slow release of the 3 levees and places that have NEVER flooded are now flooding. Prayers for Houston and for the towns farther south that took the brunt of the storm.

I had it backwards.
I hope your in laws are doing ok.

Norma - I said the same thing back in 87 in San Antonio when they were air-lifting the kids from the camp bus when the Guadalupe River flooded, to our hospitals. I lived a few blocks from KTSA and a friend of mine was the cameraman on their chopper. And that was ONLY 11 inches of rain. We weren't even in a flood zone, but luckily I had just moved to an upstairs apartment, but had to wear shorts to wade through the water so my boss could pick me up in her jeep.

I also remember all the evacuees coming because of Bonnie and Alicia. Just watching the news with all the glass blowing out of the downtown skyscrapers was terrifying and the traffic was going nowhere.

We had similar issues last year with hurricane Matthew closing I-95 and all the other highways heading inland. But that wasn't the 6MM residents like Houston.

I did a new thing and actually voted on AGT tonight - Having volunteered at Shriner's Burns Institute in Cincinnati for over 30 years, I had to vote for Kechi - especially since she now lives in Houston and her friends and family couldn't vote because they probably didn't have power and she was hoping they were safe. I'm still dealing with my injuries - but they're nothing compared to what burn survivors go through.

I just heard levees had been breached, even with the releases. I wish Mother Nature would turn on a super sized blow dryer and just blow the water out of Harvey.

Thanks to DS for taking pic of invites I made for him so I could post his bow tie themed bachelor party invite. It was a Cricut DS project.

Continued prayers for Houston. I have a friend there, 3rd time her house has been flooded. This seems to be the worst.
