I saw a wonderful technique with the Distressed Oxides.

The instructions just said...ink paper...spritz stencil...place stencil on the inked paper...and oxidation takes place. Her paper had been inked in a medium blue and when she pulled up the stencil the oxidated part was darker and looked the form of the stencil. When I do it, it is just a mess.
I've tried...
- drying and not drying the first layer of ink
-more and less water on the stencil
-hopping up and down on one foot while pulling my hair out.

Any instructions/helps?

Lay your Oxides down on the paper. Either direct from pad or with a sponge blender. Put NO water on the paper. Spray a mist of water on the stencil and lay watery side down on the paper. Take a fold of paper towels and press on the stencil/ paper stack. Remove paper towels and stencil. You may want to blot paper again with a clean folded towel.

Debby, here is a card I made using the exact instructions southgirl gave. Worked beautifully the first time.

Got it. I will give it another try. I did not blot the paper/stencil. I will post my results. Thanks
