I have a friend who has asked if I would be able to Scrapbook several old napkins that her mom saved. They are napkins that she would put in her lunch pail, for school, writing notes on them to her.

Just looking for a few good ideas.

I've thought about asking for school pictures to go along with them. Asking what she like to study....ei. english, math, piano.... etc. Getting a pic of her old school. Pic of her teacher/s.

She would like to have this done by Christmas for a gift to her sister.

Thanks for any ideas.

TR

Yes ma'am.
This is actually her sister wanting me to do this.
She found aprox. 50 of these unused napkins in
a box that her mother had saved. They are all
written to her sister.
She is wanting to do them as a Christmas gift.

Do copy them. I made a scrapbook that included a sales ticket and copied it but ran the original (dumb me) thru my xyron and I tore it trying to get it off the sheet. Lucky me I had copied it.

Packed with Love.
I would put the napkins in some kind of clear envelopes to keep them from any kind of damage or deterioration.

hmmm... it cut part of the post off!

to continue...

(maybe even a heart for the LOVE)

I usually do put my pages in a clear page protector that will go easily
into a 3 ring binder or album.

much love, TR

how about some pages that have hearts on them? or some that say love along with school papers too. if a napkin is big enough for only 1 page... I would mix the school and love papers between it I think that would be a wonderful album

50 napkins is a LOT!
I've not seen the "lot" yet.
Waiting for the actual contact. Actually looking forward
to the connection. Yes, I'd love to get pic to mix in and
report cards etc. It might turn into a bigger project than
she anticipated.

This sounds like a great project. Depending on the size you can probably purchase page protectors or think of the W R Memory Keepers Fuse tool to make your own. I love mine. Also, CTMH sells various sized flip flaps that you might be able to use without having to cut and fuse.
Good Luck!
Love the titles, especially "Packed with Love"

I met with them for the first time... There are about 75! napkins.
I think I'm going to use archival spray and use some of them as
backgrounds for pictures and she said I can crop others so they
don't take up so much room. But she wants it in a 12x12 book.
So that will give me even more room to play with. I'm use to
doing 11x8 pages. yahoo!

Do you want me to keep you updated?

I have another meeting with the them on Tues....
Gotta get on this to have it done by Dec 18th!

Did you also know that you can adhere them to a piece of card stock by putting down a piece of plastic wrap on top of the card stock and put the napkin down face up on top of the plastic wrap. Press the top of the napkin with a hot iron until it adheres to the card stock.

Thank you!
That is a good idea.
Do you know if that would be archival safe?
