I finished up my last two weekly layouts last night! I was surprised that I quite like them both because I am quite sick of my kit. I don't think I put enough paper in it at all so I felt quite limited there. However I do like what I made so that is all that matters. Will have to post them tomorrow because I am on the ipad right now. I will definitely be making a whole new kit I think - I may keep a couple things. Since it was my first month I can't say what I "always" put in but I can say I was very thankful to have mists, flowers, thickers and brads for sure. I definitely want to include more paper options, vellum and more ribbon.

Said as someone who plans to play again in March. That's exciting news! We've gathered another newbie into the ranks of the oldies.

And - in news today - my photo printer has finally completely crappped out. :-( I'm not sure if I want to get a new one or run to CVS and print them there.

I'll have to check the funds situation. Of course it would do that before I got my weekly photos printed off. I'm gonna check and see if my computer can talk to hubby's printer. If so, I might have a quick fix for today....

Morning Ladies...
It's Monday...

I have read through the thread and have to say...sometimes I have absolutely no clue what you all are talking about, LOL!
Oh well...
I'm sure it's just me...
"You'll have to excuse my friend (s)he's a little slow"
(anyone know that quote... what movie?)

I am glad to see Amanda will be coming back!
(Yay we snagged another!)
Pilgrim also, right, right?!

I'm not tired of my kit but I am looking forward to a new round of fun next month!
I hope to be able to complete more challenges also!
Though... I did scrap a lot this month so I am feeling pretty accomplished!
BTW - I am almost finished w/ the last weekly challenge...
Which means I will have completed the first and the last...

Yep. Time to get back to the grind. I don't HATE Mondays, really. They are just the beginning of the next round of routine. It's nice to have a schedule, you know?

She says, "yes." After her swaps are done.

If you are feeling pretty accomlished, then this challenge did what it was designed to do. I feel like I got a decent set of projects done as well. 2/12 of P52 2018 is complete and in my book. I just have to finish my last Weekly for this week, and I'll have done another month of "every single weekly" which is my 2018 goal!

Well I looked at the month prompt sites and now I'm worried. Although I did find it funny that you would have national pig day then 2 weeks later national roast pork day Sorry D just tickled my weird sense of humour!
Although I do have the Sherlock Holmes G45 so maybe I need to include that in my kit as that also ties in with plaid day and Sherlock Holmes weekend. Hmmmmmmmm I wish I hadn't looked.

LOL. Now you KNOW that if I were to actually DO a Sherlock Holmes challenge, you would be able to do the thing WITHOUT actual Sherlock Holmes PAPER right? I mean that just wouldn't be FAIR.

But plaids ... I can see a lot of uses for plaid papers in March ... tartan plaids and Irish kilts (do the Irish even wear traditional kilts, I wonder?) ...

Hmmmm......

Google says they did. Not that this should actually MEAN anything, mind you.

Night Teresa. I'm enjoying looking at your album pages. I know that must have been an exhausting project, based on the time frame you had to complete it.

It turned out lovely!

I am thinking that I MIGHT just be done with my Weekly challenge. I can't decide, but I've been looking at it for two days now, and I've spilled a half bottle of mist on it, and I'm out of rub-on t's and i's, so I'm probably finished.

I think I'll see if I can get a decent photograph of it right now. BRB.

Ok. Here's my Weekly #5
I did the diagonal that included
Doily - upper right corner
Diecuts - the giant scallops done with my Big Shot
3 kinds of bling - mist (lots and lots of mist), stickles, glitter title, and wired crystal beads
PLUS
Polka Dots - in the two larger paper banners
Stripes - on the wings of the butterflies and the vertical columns on the calendar (how's THAT for outside the box?}

No red or pink so no black out for me. But that's ok. I'm just SO glad to be done with it. It was HARD this week!

~ * ~ * ~ * ~ DAILY CHALLENGE ~ * ~ * ~ * ~

FEBRUARY 27

It's TIME TO START WRAPPING IT UP DAY!

We've had a great February, wouldn't you say? We're now staring down the end of it, with only today and tomorrow left before we turn another calendar month and say good-bye to this one. I hope that you've found inspiration in multiple places this month, and that you're not feeling too stressed about the things that slipped through the cracks.

~ Finish up any last minute projects and start the process of getting your work space straightened up and tidy so that you're ready for the coming month. Clear away anything that has been blocking your ability to be creative. Make some decisions about any of the leftovers from this month's kit - will you recycle them or do you need to put them away where they'll be available next time you need or want them? When your scrapping space is neat and tidy, sit down with a cup of something tasty and congratulate yourself on a job well done.

~ Have fun~

Good morning, I said yes to a last minute project this week!
But what can you do when you own someone a favor??
That side tracked me from the weekly but with lots of luck I can get it finished!!!
One good thing, the sidetracking project can be posted here since it used my paper-crafting skills (such as they are) for a guilt project!!
Will post shortly....

Morning everyone.

My plan for this morning is to get the March forum up. I'll link it here when I'm done, so don't get overly excited just yet. :-)

And I haven't created the March photo list yet, so if there's something you want ON that list, speak now or forever hold your peace.

I had intended to do multiple layers for all the names but that would have taken forever. Once I did the title I decided one layer would DO!

Back to my regularly scheduled scrapping!!

DDs car died yesterday Lucky for her we were looking at getting me another car this weekend (one of those many errands I had to do). On my way to sign for my "new" car so no telling what time I'll get home tonight, since we have to redo paperwork because there is no trade-in.

Pat - regarding sketch - is it OK if I use 2 consecutive sketches by Shawneerie to create a 2-page layout? I just couldn't get the vintage feel with any of the 2-pagers (way too modern)??

Sadly I think I am done for February... Tomorrow is trash night and with hubby away...it's hard to do that and feed the kids let alone do a scrapbook page! I will drop in to sprinkle love but other than that see you in March!

In Love With You By Scrapanda

Pat - love that the daily today is not a creating type challenge - I always feel the last two or three days of challenges don't stand a chance often of being done because everyone is too pressed for time! So the one you posted is perfect!

~ * ~ * ~ * ~ DAILY CHALLENGE ~ * ~ * ~ * ~

FEBRUARY 28

It's MOVING ON DAY!

I agree with Amanda that the last couple of days of a challenge are just for finishing up the floors and wiping down the counter tops before you lock the doors. This has been a fantastically creative month, and I've been so proud and excited to play with such a great group of people. Thanks for making MY job so much fun!

~ When you're sure you're finished with all the projects you plan to turn in, double check your final point standings, and PM me with your total points and number of daily challenges completed. I'll take it from there!

In answer to the question posed earlier....
3 things I need in my kit:

-Journaling Spots/Labels
-Alphas
-Washi

As always I'm late to the party...
I'd like to think "Fashionably Late" but I'm sure you all beg to differ, LOL

hi ladies,

Help, please! I have had an ongoing dilimna when I use liquids on my projects the pp always ripples and just never goes flat again and I have even tried ironing the pp, using a quartz block that the company I bought our quartz counter top from sent us! How do you layer your pps and which adhesive do you think works best?

I need a little more information on what type of liquids!

I use mono liquid glue to adhere things but you don't need or want to overdo the liquid it will ripple.

Now the paints, stains, watercolor stuff.......it ripples. I try covering it up as much as possible with "stuff" and if that does not work I will adhere it another piece of card stock. Basically I try to use as little liquid as possible......

Ironing paper will not work, the heat makes if ripple!!
Dani By Sewflake
this one rippled but it is glued to two other sheets of paper. you can see where I did not put adhesive on the one edge and it has raised. It will flatten when in an albums so I won't worry too much! BUT NOW THAT YOU BROUGHT IT UP!!!

When you get the paper wet, it alters the structure of the fibers and they'll never really go back to what they were. I HAVE used an iron to flatten projects. My last project ... Muddy Horse Show ... got sopping wet when I spilled a half bottle of mist all over it. I pulled out the iron and some paper towels to protect my ironing board and iron itself and went to work.

It's not perfectly flat, but it's not as curved as it would be with a heat gun.

I always use Beacons 3-1. It's the best adhesive on the market in my opinion.

Pat, I thought you did that mist job on purpose!! It sure looked great!!
Also a great idea to use paper towels with the iron!! Not that that can be done with goopy paste and waiting for it to dry!!

These pictures show most of my albums that are in various states of being complete with no way of tell on half of them what is in the album!!
Then there is the 12x12x12 box of finished pages that need to get in these albums.
I plan on getting the pages loaded into books then getting the books labeled .

albums By Sewflake
album shelf By Sewflake
box of layouts By Sewflake

There is the empty box with the albums labeled with markers, tag and even a few designer tags for the post bound albums.

AGC Monthly - empty By Sewflake
Feb monthly challenge finsihed By Sewflake
Feb AGC Finished By Sewflake

Mattie's labeling that was done showed better in the before picture. It still has the same gold labeling on them.
I did not put labels on the empty albums, there are a few ready to be filled. Scrap on!

A major push to get them finished on the last day of the month!!

OK, end of month at work = busy!

Don't now how I got this done tonight, but changing my weekly to a 1-pager really made the difference in getting this done AND it's a cover-all!!! Now to get pic and point counted so I can get this posted tonight. bbs

Nope. It was a huge accident and the air around my mouth was blue with the swear words and screaming. I was having a really hard time getting that project to come together and spilling that mist was kind of the last straw. After that, I just figured it didn't matter anymore so I quit trying to make it come out right and just glued stuff down. It did turn out pretty nice after all, but it was NOT the way I planned it.

Maybe another month Pat, March is shaping up to be very busy with doctor appointment - 3 next week alone. Tax month, getting ready for company, plus 6 bed scarves I have to make....... it's the main reason I am playing for motivation hoping to be motivated to scarp a little.

My last for the month. Not going to point it, but it catches me up on P52.
