hello and good morning. yea it is cold out here and windy. i have a few new layouts that i did in
the gallery. no i don't know of any crops that are come up. well today no work for me have to clean house today.
i have never been to a crop because i have most of my stuff at home and i do it at home. but if you ever want to get toghter to do scrapbook stuff i am up for it seen i don't have to many scrapbook friends out here
I usually do my cropping at home since I have all my tools set up. I go to crops about every 3 months so right now the next one isn't until June 2. Maybe we can get together some time in May, that will give me time to get page kits together so that I can make the most of the crop time. Let me know.
most of my layouts are about my kids, but I think if I didn't have kids I would be scrapping other peoples kids, family members, friends, my dog, my husband, where I live, and my life in general.
I haven't been to a crop in a few years. My sheer volume of stuff keeps me pretty much at home. But I think if I had other people to scrap with I could put together kits to take along with me.
I did color sorting recently to try and take back control of all my embellishments and so far it has been working out fantastically! I made a lot of discoveries, things I had bought and lost in the bottom of a drawer, or just don't remember getting at all! Now that everything is sorted by color and in clear floss boxes it is so easy to find just what I need and I have been more inspired just seeing all the pretty colors!
Happy Tuesday Vegas girls! I don't have children myself. My scrapbooks are usually just about family life, my nieces and nephews, and Chocolate (my dog). Coretta, I accepted adding you to my friends list. I live over on the east side of town, Charleston & Nellis. I believe that For Keeps Scrapbooking has free table time in their crop room as long as there are no classes scheduled. They are located at Charleston & Sloan, that is east of Nellis.
I have lots of space here to scrap. I think I would like to go to a crop just to meet more scrappers around here. My mother in law and sister in law are scrappers, but they stick to home too. Seems like everyone I know that stamps or scrapbooks stays home now. When I started scrapping in 1999 almost all my layouts were created at crops...
Good Wednesday morning everyone. Coretta, we could plan something if its easier for me to come to you. Unfortunately, I'll be undergoing gastric bypass on Tuesday so I won't be available until May, but I would love to get my page kits started so that I could make the most of the crop. Anyone know when the next expo will be in town? Maybe we could plan to meet at one.
I live over on Charleston and Nellis, not too far from the base.
Happy Thursday everyone. Tomorrow I go to do my pre-op paperwork and to register at the hospital. I can't believe that the time is here already. Whew! I really wish my older sister and I were going together, but now she can take care of me and I can take care of here. I'll start posting pictures in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know of a place we can meet up at for cropping without being charged an arm and a leg?
Coretta, what scrapbook store was that? Maybe we can set up a crop at the LSS for those of us on this website? Doesn't Pebbles In My Pocket on Sahara do something like that? I'll start looking into it for us. Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
The Pebbles in my Pocket that was on Sahara years back closed. Now the Pebbles in my Pocket that was on Bonanza moved into the Sahara location about a year ago. Its pretty nice and big and they have a large crop area. Here is their website... http://www.pebbleslasvegas.com/
I would like to hear more about this scrapbook convention in June. I have friends that go to them up in Wa. but I've never been to one.
This lady named Ginger who lives in CA and runs an online store used to work with the memories expo and holds crops here in Henderson. She used to come for the expo and one crop a year. Now the expo isnt here anymore but she still comes for crops. She is now up to holding 3 crops a year.... March, June and November. If you want to email me I can send you the information.
Her crops are a lot of fun, you bring your own stuff to work on, she hands out prizes all day and the crop is held from 9am-10pm . the one coming up is on june 2nd.
Lets figure out each others schedual and then plan something. I checked out Pebbles store and they have a lot going on like bingo night, pj night and scrapping until midnight, one of these nights would be fun to do. I'm not sure where its located but this weekend I'll go looking for it and then maybe we can plan on meeting up there. what ya think?
I saw they have a class fri 4-12 for 15.00, sat 4-12 for 15.00, and sun 12-5 for 5.00.
Do any of these sound good to anyone else? We could try and get into a class for next week or the week after. If we picked sat. then I could have my husband drop me off, I don't like driving by myself down here at night, there are some crazy drivers here.
