I have not been on here in forever but had to post this... I just got back from the Walmart in Clinton and got page kits for $1.00. They are the Harvest brand kits and they have Trick or Treat, Autumn Leaves , and Harvest Hues kits. They are all full of paper, alphabet stickers, chipboard punch out, and cardstock punch outs. They are on the end cap to the scrapbook isle.

Hello anyone from South Mississippi!!! Our Coast is finally reconnected!! I want to get some local people together for a semi-regular crop. Maybe once or twice a month. I do sell MemoryWorks products but I PROMISE that I will not force anything on you. I'm a SAHM who really needs to get out of the house sometimes. I'm honestly just trying to find some nice people to scrap with.

I am tentatively scheduling one for Friday December 7, 6pm (or Thursday December 6th) at McAlister's Deli in Ocean Springs, MS. If you are interested please let me know. If the day or time doesn't work for you, let me know what day/time will. I can alter it. TIA!!!

Oh, I wish I could come, but I will be away on vacation that week. However, a trip down to the Coast sounds like fun. Maybe we can get Angela, a/k/a Moonflower, to join us. Let me know if you are doing something like that in January, and I may try to get away for a night. I would have to do something like that on either Friday night or a weekend. Have fun, and I hope you are able to get lots of folks to join you!

Just stopping by to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

Hi Megan!! Sorry to hear about the bad family news so close to the holidays. I hope everyone is ok. Take care!!

December has been a busy month for me. My hubby and I took a vacation the first week in December, and then everything seemed a little more hectic than usual, with the holidays and work.

I haven't been scrappping much lately. I finished a digi lo about my vacation, but after I uploaded it, I changed it a bit to make it more balanced. I don't think I am going to try to reload, but here is the original version if you want to take a look:

Hi Megan!! Just stopping by to say "hello" too. I have been busy this month trying to participate in a few of the challenges here. The challenges are giving me a little inspiration to finish a few more pages. However, I need to work on my Christmas layouts. I received the photos back from Snapfish yesterday, so I don't even have an excuse any more.

I have been having problems with my computer, so my hubby bought me a Dell laptop for my bday. I have been busy, trying to transfer everything from one computer to the other. Also, I am trying to get used to the little changes and differences here. My AOL navigation is also a little different, since my hubby downloaded the latest one, instead of just transferring what I had from the old computer, so that is also a little stressful. Anyway, it is very nice to have a new toy, and one that is not crashing all the time, like my old laptop. Just hope I can get everything transferred, and I don't lose anything.

Just doing my weekly check in here. I hope everyone is doing ok. The Crop Connection in Pearl was lots of fun, and I finished . . . drum roll please . . . 7 complete pages, plus one mnore page that is waiting for a photo. I also worked on some tags for a swap, but everyone has agreed not to post the tags until a certain time. I am still adding some finishing touches on my pages, so they are not in the gallery yet, but I hope to have them there soon. Have a great week everyone!!

well its going ok....im almost done with the quarter....tech is on a quarter system..so this is the second of three quarters for the "normal" school year. the quarter is officially over like the last week of february...im lookin forward to the end....this has been an extremely stressful quarter. i know if i can pull through this then i can pull through my last year. i am technically a senior by hours after i complete classes this quarter even though im in my third year...kind of makes me happy and feel accomplished!

thanks for asking!

Congrats on being so close to graduating! Have fun during your Mardi Gras break too. If you scrap any pages, be sure to post a link here.

The rest of my week will be really busy, so I don't think I'll have a chance to check back until later in the week. Hope everyone's week is a good one! TTFN!

Hello all,
I had posted this on the general forum page, but thought I might get a better response on the individual state pages. I'm student teaching in a second grade class and we're learning about the United States. I am requesting postcards from all 50 states. You can jot down an interesting fact about your state for the kids to learn. We've received 23 so far, but Mississippi wasn't one of them. If anyone would be willing, I'd really appreciate some love from Mississippi!

The address is:
Easton Elementary School
2nd grade
2901 Point Marion Road
Morgantown, WV 26505

Thanks so much!!!

Misty

Hello! I'm just getting into scrapbooking, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good local resources. I do most of my shopping online, but I'd love to see what other scrapbookers in my area are doing.

There is one at Clinton (or at least I think they are still there) but they really didn't have a good selection.

There is one in Flowood, off Lakeland drive, that is pretty good.

There is one in Bryam, just south of Jackson, that I LOVE! Great choices and great staff.

Hi cheryl, I just posted above about some local store in the Jackson area. As I said, I love A Scrappin Friendsy the store in Byram. They are so friendly there and always ready to help. They have crops, a monthly card club that you could join that meets on Sat. morning, a monthly scrapbook club that meets on the third Friday of the month.

Hi everyone. My parents live in MS. Columbus near the AL line. My brother and two nephews are going there for a visit. We are having a hard time finding someplace to take the kids. Can anyone suggest anything? Like a water or amusement park? The boys are 6 and 11. There's only so much fishing you can do.

TIA!
Debbie

Welcome! Not many in MS posting in the forums. I'm in Starkville. Take a look at Crop Connection, it is an awesome scrapbooking event in Jackson MS twice a year (Jan & July) that people get together from MS and surrounding states. The event is absolutely wonderful and has over 140 croppers as well as vendors.

I'm from Eupora which is 30 miles west of Starkville. I've been "trying" to scrapbook for years.....my mom says that I love buying and collecting the stuff for it but never find time to actually make a page!!! But I would love to get together with some "seasoned" scrappers to help me get the lead out. I want some scrapper friends to talk to and get together once a month or so. Anybody here??????????

I have a friend that I go to Tupelo with to crop at Scrapbooks & More. She has two crops a month plus other events. Sometimes we get there twice a month and sometimes we miss the month completly - just depends on our schedules. Have met others in Starkville who scrapbook but have never had the opportunity to get together. Check out Scrapbooks & More and also the Crop Connection which is a large scrapbooking weekend twice a year in Jackson. There are ladies from the area who attend. Email me anytime, [email protected]
