This is the bell which was donated by the city of London to commemorate the September 11 tragedy. It was located in St Pauls church, a tiny church right opposite the North Tower of the Trade Centre and miraculously escaped damage despite a large steel girder falling in the grounds and missing the church by only metres. The tree root is memory of the only damage done, it knocked this tree out of the ground. The tree root has been preserved in memory of what is considered a minor miracle on that day....it has also been cast in bronze and that can be seen a couple of blocks away in the Trinity Church. The small black square on the photo of the headstones, shows exactly where this 100yr old Sycamore tree stood.
Did this for the September PIT challenge to do a dbl pg layout.
