Doilies are all over the place right now-- in 5 out of 7 classes I took at Reflections and I've used them alot before. I had some for sale in my little booth at Reflections and they SOLD OUT! Anyways, Donna's paper is perfect for doilies so I folded on in the center to make it more oval instead of circle shaped. Then I layered that on top of a full doily of the same style.

I painted a rectangle in the center of the Nutmeg Nostalgia paper to create a frame. I watered down the paint in the bottle (it was getting to the end) and splattered it onto the page. I then sprayed a little spray ink over top of the paint for some distressing.

To take advantage of the wood grain of Donna's Banana Nut Loaf paper I wanted to create a shadowbox effect on the page. I tore the center out of a lighter paper and folded the torn edges towards me. Then backed that with the wood grain paper. I placed the doilies inside the "shadowbox", spilling over the edges, and then added the photo to the center. I cut some flowers from Donna's English Roses paper and added them peeking out from the edges of the shadowbox. To add dimension, I used pop dots only on the undersides of the edge of the flowers closest to the photo.

I crumpled and extra piece of wood grain paper and adhered it across the bottom of the page. Then I trimmed some lace from one of the journal cards on the Attic Journal Cards paper and added that to one edge. I stitched buttons to either side of the strip with baker's twine and then added a "G" cut from Donna's Memory Mosaics Alphas paper and the milk bottle cap.
