Love your stitching, Vija! Excellent work!! I was laughing when I read that you got rid of the 'extras'!!!!!!!!! I love to do that also, when possible! You have such a wonderful photo. I loved the Spanish Steps and I know what you mean about the crowds! Beautifully done! Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is awesome! Love everything about it, especially the lamp. I HATE HATE HATE sewing also, but yours turned out so good it almost has me inspired (until I realize how much I hate it when threading the needle lol).
AWESOME awesome layout!!! I love the color scheme, totally makes the picture pop!! Looks like you & David were really enjoying your day!!! Love all the embellies, the chandilier is soo cool & girlfriend, for not sewing/stitching, you did an awesome job w/perfectly straight lines..can you teach me?!
Very pretty! I was just writing, "I love the way the pink and white paper looks with those flowers" when I saw that my mom said the same thing. Well, now I've still said it.
What a terrifically elegant, enchantingly captivating page! You've channeled the deep, classic beauty of Spanish architecture so well with the colours and embellishments at work here.
awesome job on the photoshopping...I use Picnik but i'm not all that good at it!gorgeous lo and great job on the stitching;believe it or not, I actually enjoy handstitching and find it relaxing!! love the colours and the contrast.
hmmmm gelato on the spanish steps - will you trade that for Coffee in Corona (in front of a computer screeen)??? I didn't think so. Once again, I am traveling the world thru your photos and AMAZING los. TFS. Awwwwwe, thanks so much for the kind mention - your sewing is wonderful (it's a lovely detail). I am so glad I could inspire you. Love the pink bg paper, it matches so perfectly with the beautiful flowers in the background. AND your photoshop touch up is amazing!! I might be able to stitch but don't know the first thing about photo altering - maybe we can do a little tradeoff??? Seriously though, this is an ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL lo.
Wow Vija...I just saw the before shot...awesome editing and you wouldn't know if you hadn't said so!! I'm very impressed with your sewing....it looks fabulous! Love the mix of pp's and the black chandelier really pops! Beautiful page and photo!!!
Omg looks like your son is your boyfriend , you don't look old enough to be his Mum. Fantastic page love the photo and all of your marvellous sewing, pps and chandelier.
Great job on the stitching...love that stamp edge on the b/g paper. We were there during January and it is amazing how different the steps look with all those flowers...the church at the top of the steps is very lovely!
very clever editing shopping the extra people out, leaving a great looking foto of you and your son...awesome looking building in the background, and luv the page you have created...bit of fancy sewing there too...awesome chandelier and flourish there too...think I might need to lift this fave creation...and your mojo is certainly working well at present..lol
Well I think the stitching was totally worth it! You must be a photoshop maven! I have a hard time getting extras out of my photos. LOL I love the color scheme and that gorgeous chipboard flourish.
Vija, you did a great job of getting rid of those "extras". Great photo of you and your son. I think you did a great job on the stitching!!! Beautiful creation!!!!
Don't you just hate those "extras"? Just carry a bullhorn and shout clear the area for this photo shoot! They will take you for models or someone famous(well, you ARE here on sb.com). Will save you all that pesky photoshopping. I feel proud of myself to be able to crop and remove red-eyes! I hate sewing too and I asked and received for Christmas the mat, roller and different heads, but sadly have yet to use them! Fabulous photo taken on your travels!
Wow girl, this is gorgeous. Love how the paper and the flower match the photo so well. The stitching is awesome and goes so well with the chandelair. Everything just pops out at ya.
BEAUTIFUL Vija!!!!! Great idea to take the others out of the photo!!! Your black stitching looks AWESOME!!!! It makes such an eye catching border!! The bg pp matches perfectly with the flowers in the pic!! As always, I love seeing your travel lo's!!!!
For hating sewing, you really did a great job, Vija! I love the results!!!! Yes, Vickie is a great seamstress! I love your layout - the background paper and that chandelier look awesome! I can't believe that you were able to photoshop out extras! I need to learn how to do that!!!!!!!
Well, looks like you're a seamstress too...whether you like it or not! ha ha! This is faulous! Love this shot of the two of you! Very nice contrast with the black chandelier on the pink damask...how perfect for Spain!!
My son David & I enjoying gelatos on the Spanish Steps. The steps are always crowded with people day & night....I photoshopped all the 'extras' out! I do not sew (which is pretty evident by the results) but I was inspired by Vickie (HappyGoLucky) who is a fabulous seamstress to do some stitching on a layout. I so admire all you seamstresses out there.....I really do hate sewing! TFL.
