Gage is so blessed with such an incredible visual of how to live life as a man. As I look around me at those who do not have this figure in their lives to train them, to show them, to teach them, to love them... i am so selfishly filled with relief and gratefulness for my husband and what a wonderful leader he is to all of us. I LOVE this picture of him and it was the perfect backdrop for this message to Gage. (**Dana... your son got all choked up when he got home tonight & read this!! Like, tears! I knew he would think it was sweet, but I didn't expect that. wow!)----- JOURNALING: Follow His Lead. Gage, as I think of the crossroads that are coming in your life, I catch myself trembling
with fear. Then... I see him. I am suddenly very aware of the remarkable example God
has set before you. I can only pray that as you stand, torn between the way of
the world and the path to righteousness that you look to your dad as a visual.
Pay close attention to the way he lives. Watch as you see him turn to God
for guidance. Listen as he speaks to me. Hear how loving, gracious,
and respectful his tone is. Watch his mistakes and then see him
humbly take instruction from God to make them right. He is not
perfect, but I assure you it is safe to follow his lead. He is all
the while following Christ, and he can show you how.
