I stayed very close to the ad for this layout as I have been working on focusing on the photos (& not just the embelishments). I was inspired by the objects in the ad (something I rarely take pictures of). The bottom got cut off of my scan. It reads: in the rain. The top right corner is a dictionary definition of the word simple.
The journaling reads: I know I'm a simple girl. I like simple things. Instead of jewelry for Valentine's Day I got my favorite romance paperback- and I couldn't have been happier. Finding a shirt I love in my favorite color makes for a great shopping day. Getting my husband to run outside in the rain for a quick kiss (& getting the kids to take a picture of it!) could make me happy for weeks. And nothing makes a bad day better than a cup of tea & dark chocolate! It's not these "things" that create the happiness-it's seeing or remebering the happiness they brought me and getting to relive it all over again & again.
