Although this photograph never made print, it has made my cull since it accomplished the two obvious--but often difficult--goals of photojournalism which is 1. To show the viewer the story and 2. Show it in an interesting and artful sort of way. Some assignments, such as breaking news or sports, lend to the dramatic fusion of the two goals, likewise, other assignments don't so you really have to work it.
I like this photo because it's actually two photographs in one. On one side you have the children going into the hospital for a tour and on the other there is a group being taught about ambulances. Two in one. Love that.
