In March, Betsy developed a hematoma in her ear. She'd had this before, so we knew that she would need surgery. In addition, Betsy had a biopsy on a lump on her neck. After the surgery, Betsy was red-eyed and wobbly. She had to wear bandages on her head for two weeks before the stitches came out. Less than 24 hours later, the hematoma came back! It was hard on Betsy to go through the surgery again - but I think it was almost harder on Mom to put Betsy through the ordeal. But now she's healthy and we hope this won't happen again.
