A layout about the unlikelyhood of these photographs and the route to get to this point.

Journalling reads: I had a dream that my mom’s grandkids would get to grow up together and enjoy each other’s company like they do in big families.
The odds were heavily stacked against it though. For starters Shaun is five years younger than me so it seemed he would settle down later than me. The history in our family dictated that the boys’ children were not as close as the girls’ kids. Due to a heart condition doctors adivsed me not to have kids after 30. And just as it seemed this dream was in reach I decided to relocate to Johannesburg. Also Shaun and his girlfriend broke up soon after Tamryn was born and a long visitation-rights battle started.
But fate seems to have intervened slightly. You see Shaun became a teenage dad. He and I have such a close relationship that any kids we have are almost forced to interact. He gained custody of Tammy and I made a point of telling Nikita about Tammy all while the family hadn’t got to see her.
Of course they still live in two different cities on two different sides of the country. But once or twice a year a plane trip is made and I get to watch my pipe dream for about a week.
Tamryn and Nikita recently got to spend a week together after not seeing each other for about a year. They did every thing together and even dressed the same until the novelty wore off later in the week. It was such a pleasure to watch even if it was only for a little while.
