Journaling reads: "When we finally arrived at the car lot, we were told to go pick out which car we wanted. Being travel novices, we assumed that they would have the Toyota we had requested… NOT SO. After viewing our limited (3) choices, we opted to take the silver Elantra. Being loyal Toyota owners, we had never driven a Hyundai before. Little did we know. The seats were terribly uncomfortable and sat so low that I could barely see over the dash. We also learned in the days ahead that the Elantra was not the best choice for climbing up and down some of those western roads… especially the older section of Route 66 that runs from Kingman to Oatman. But, I am getting ahead of myself. Suffice it to say that by the end of our trip we were suffering from renter’s remorse."

I used a page from an old road atlas for the map bg and a couple of the embellies. I used deco scissors for the red mat edges. The car was cut out by hand. The title is done with stickers. Thanks for stopping by :)
