awww....this made me want to cry. it makes me so sad to think about what that dock looks like today. we need to clean it up and do some repairs. it seems like too sacred of a place to be left to rot!

lo of me and my dd during our trip to TX. Journaling reads: "I have so many memories here. Growing up I used to love to come to Lake Palestine to visit my Grandparents. In this spot, I spent many hours learning to fish with my Dad and Granddad. As an adult, I lived here with my Grandma after my Granddad died. I spent many nights on this dock thinking of him and trying to decide what to do with my life. Coming back here with my daughter was so special to me. I will always cherish this moment...
