I'd take off the brown paper and use the wood as the background, maybe scuff it up and give it a burned look. metal embellishments would look good too

this looks great and I have to agree with others maybe change the flowers to something metal

It looks great - but I agree with the others, the flowers soften it too much... what about adding some more of the metal? I looks like you have the metal clips on the center photo - maybe expand on that and add more metal embellishments in the same tone?

I don´t think it´s too girly...maybe you could change the flowers to some tags and voila!! No girlie LO at all!

I was getting a headstart on my boyfriend's xmas present, and this is how far I got when I realized, "...This is too girly to give to him... =[..."
I made it from a cabinet door that was just sitting out in the sunroom.

*sigh* I want to finish it... But I dunno if I should still give it to him for xmas or not...
