This photo box was a dark green. I'm using b/w as my 'accent colors' in my scraproom.
I used regular old (WM brand) spray paint to paint the box. It took 2 coats of paint, but it looks like it's going to work! The zebra print is Duck Tape!! I just wrapped it around the rim of the lid and then clipped each corner and folded it over onto the top...it looks pretty good, even though the tops of the lids are seldom seen, since the boxes sit on the top shelf of my shelving unit.
I found the Duck Tape in the paint dept at WM. They have a lot of colors and patterns! I'm sure that you can find it in all kinds of stores!
