This is a lo I did for the June Colour Challenge - Terracotta and Denim. I used this sketch for it - http://sketcheswithatwist.blogspot.com.au/2012/01/february-sketch-release.html
For the background, I cut a piece of 'metal' paper to the size and shape I wanted and adhered it to the denim background. I cut a piece of brick paper slightly smaller than the metal paper, then I carefully tore out sections of the bricks and adhered them to the metal paper so I would have sections that were missing bricks where the metal paper would show.
These pics were taken by my son's friend who was hoping to start her own photography business. She and my son went out scouting sites for pics and he was her model. This is a mural in a town nearby.
