This is a pic of DH and I when we were dating back in 1994. I'm not sure where, maybe just on the back of the page, but I'm going to include some journaling about the "good ole days" of coal mining when this pic was taken. Hard to believe it has changed so much in such a short time. We were dressed for a crew dinner, which was a company thing that they did to promote good morale and comrade, since these men and women held the responsibility for each others safety and even lives in their hands. Coal mining has always been a dangerous and dirty job, but for many years it was a good job, not only because it paid well with excellent benefits, but because of all the big and little extras, like these crew dinners sponsored and paid for by the company every 3 months. The Christmas parties were not only big social events with dinner, dancing and an open bar, but yearly production and safety bonuses were passed out as well. There were also big prize drawings ranging all the way from cruises, to electronics, guns, tools, to $15 gift cards. It is very disheartening to have witnessed all of that disappear so quickly, along with the oversight that guarded safety so that we experienced the disaster which claimed the lives of 9 of our men. I have my thoughts on why all this has happened, but while I will share them with my prosperity in my journaling, I will spare you all my politics! You're welcome!

I used fancy pants "Vintage Summer" pps, which is kinda funny since this is a Christmas page! The transparency is Hambly, the chipboard is some old Chatterbox I have had in my stash forever and I just added some doodling and liquid pearls.
