A 2 page layout (based on a Page Maps sketch) of our Christmas Day 2011. The ornaments were cut from pp and have Stickles added for accent. I painted the brads to match the color scheme.
Journaling: Christmas Day was cold enough that Audie had a fire going in the fireplace for most of the day. The family decided to have snacks and finger foods for the noon meal instead of the traditional turkey and dressing. We did have our family tradition of a big pot of chili for the evening meal.
Brittney and Emily entertained us with their piano duets while Brandi watched. After we opened our gifts and cleaned up, we played Catch Phrase. Emily (acting out "Peter Cottontail") and Jason were the best at giving clues while Brandi and Lara were almost always the first with the answers. We had fun laughing at Dejuanna as she said, "uh,uh,uh" while she tried to think of clues and Randy finally learned to keep his glasses on so he was ready when it was his turn to read clues! Jessica, Jennifer, & Holly (and their guys) were with other family members for the day and we missed them.
