So this year's tap dance is actually a dance I did at the studio's 50th Anniversary in 2006. Part of it is this incredibly silly dance to the song "I Can't be Bothered Now" from the show "Crazy for You." Part of it involves a ton of singing and dancing and acting using these silly fake telephones that are about 20 years old. It was kind of funny because the girls I dance with, they'd never seen a phone like the ones we're using. They kept holding the wrong part to their ear for some reason. The only reason I knew what was going on with them was because I'd done the dance before and because my grandmother had the same kind of phone in her apartment when I was a kid (It didn't work but it was on the wall). I'm not completely fond of the costume, because it's itchy, and I really don't like feathers. Feathers tend to shed all over the stage and then they don't want to waste time sweeping them up between acts. This is also the costume that infamously rides up and shows LOTS of cheek. Most of us took pictures facing the side because the costume also rides up in the front and that can get more than a little inappropriate. (There's also a hat that goes with this costume but it's awfully ugly so I opted not to wear it in my individual pictures.)
