Love that you'll use photos from them. I don't want to think of the day my boys will be grown and make their own plans for Christmas. Hope you have a wonderful day whatever you choose to do.
I absolutely LOVE this layout! I love the feeling it emits! What wonderful family traditions you have. I know that this year won't be the same for you and dh, but hopefull, like Jrabs said, you will find that this year is just as festive. I love how you saved spots for new photos!!!! TFS!
Love what this page represents and how you chose to represent your transitional year. Your traditions sound so special and so full of memories. Who knows what this year brings, but many prayers that it will be equally powerful, special and blessed, dear friend. I love the colors and the pp you selected.
This is my second attempt at the Cosmo Cricket Challenge. My first one fell a little short of the requirements.
The photo is one of my favorites, but it's always been too small to do anything with, so I scanned it and enlarged it for this page. It was taken at my in-laws house on Christmas Eve, 1995.
While our daughters were growing up, we spent every Christmas Eve with my DH's parents, going to the candlelight Christmas Eve service at their huge church in downtown Tulsa.
After the service, we always drove through the neighborhoods in Tulsa, admiring all the Christmas lights and singing Christmas Carols. Then we'd drive home, welcoming Christmas in the quiet dark hours of the night between my in-laws house and our own, while our girls slept in the backseat of our car.
This is the first year that neither of our daughters will be home for Christmas - it'll just be DH and me - and I'm not sure what part of our Christmas Eve traditions we'll choose to keep, or whether or not we'll make new ones that don't include our daughters.
But I wanted to create a page of old and new, so I left the red photo mats open for pictures from my girls. They will be sending me one from their own family celebrations this year, and that way, I can expand this page to include the next generation's traditions.
