These photos are from last March when my DD was home from Iraq. One of my friends does some free lance photography, and she came out to take some family photographs. It was pretty cold and miserable that day, so after the photos were done, everyone but Sheri and I raced inside to warm up. I asked her if she would mind taking some photos of me and Java together since I never have anyone around who "gets it" about the elements of a decent photograph. Sheri is a great friend and was happy to spend a little more time in the cold taking these photos.
I think she did a wonderful job catching Java and I together being "the way we really are."
I'm sure there is something I could do to give this layout more balance, but everything I tried up the right side covered the "dreams" word, and that was one of the important elements I really wanted to keep. I think I'll probably see if I can find some yellow paper to match the Prima roses and see if I can get a couple of bitty rosebuds to the upper right of my handmade lace flower.
I did this primarily for the Page Maps Week 3 sketch.
I MAY enter it into the multi-photo challenge if I can figure out how to tweak the balance on it a bit.
Thanks for taking a peek. If you have any suggestions that might help me with this, I'd love to hear them!
