My Dad died less than a year ago after a courageous 8-year battle with Alzheimer's. Some dear family and friends joined me and my Mom to participate in the 2008 Memory Walk, here in Salem. So many others who also love my Dad and our family, but couldn't be there in person, were definitely there in thought and prayer.....we could feel the love....as we always felt it and drew strength from it during my Dad's illness.
I tried some distressing on this lo....at first I was distressed over the distressing... LOL...but I think it worked out ok. The little pic of my Dad with the Remember You underneath is one of our favorites. He was such a goof :-)...this was taken a few years ago at the Pumpkin Patch...the wind caught his hair just right and he had the funniest smile on his face...was happy to get that pic.
This was a bittersweet lo to do, but again, another way to honor my Dad....he is so deserving of every honor...as is my Mom, for the 53+ years they were a couple. They were (and are still) the sweetest soulmates.
