Give a Cheer
We got Mom an Irish hat to wear - the only time she could take it off was when she ate, so it didn't fall in her food. DH got her a sign to hang around her neck that said Kiss Me It's My Birthday - which she couldn't take off at all. Mom was embarrassed a few times when total strangers visiting the restaurant came up to her and kissed her on the cheek.
SIL made the cake for mom, a week after she had a gaulbladder operation. Love my SIL!
