Journaling: Week 10: March 4-10
It’s Sunday again and that’s a family day for us. We took Sweets outside for some play time and while she was running around David found that our homemade nut wreath in the garage had become a treat for some hungry mice! I hope they enjoyed their nut platter because the next edible thing in our garage will be some Decon! We decided to order pizza from Italo’s (a little pricey but SO worth it!), grabbed some candies at the Dollar General and checked out the movie “Abducted”. It stars the actor who plays “Jacob” in the “Twilight” movies so OF COURSE it was good!  I did some room cleaning while David hit homeruns on the PS3 and enjoyed every moment of our family time. Monday brought some snow back to Ohio and that was the high point. A quick work day, a long nap and the cuddle made the rest of the day complete. I did NOT want to get out of bed Tuesday but the Subway schedule was a-calling. After work I got a nice hot relaxing bath in and was about ready to do some scrapping when Sweets’ barking alerted me to a big brown truck in our driveway. UPS was there delivering my new Studio Calico kit! Sweets is such a good guard dog as long as the visitor is driving a truck. If they had been driving a car she probably wouldn’t have even got up off the floor. David and I finished our leftover pizza and sank into the cuddle to make our day complete. Wednesday was such a surprisingly warm day that we turned on the AC in the Outlander for the first time. David picked me up from work at 3pm after he went back to work I stayed outside to get some pictures and let Sweets stretch her legs. Now Sweets is a great puppy but whenever we hear a car coming we still call her to us and hold her so she doesn’t run after them. Since I heard something coming I called her and was holding her as a school bus rolled by. Sweets got so excited she actually tackled me trying to run after it! I bet those kids got a good laugh at THAT as they went by. Thursday is typically a run around day and this was another typical Thursday. I gave David a haircut, then we went to Alliance to do some shopping. We grabbed some spray paint at Lowe’s for a home décor project, printer ink and Kuerig refills at Staples (a new favorite place for me), St. Patty’s Day gear at Big Lots and a movie for David at Wal*Mart, along with various scrapbooking supplies I found at every store. David then took me to Grinder’s for lunch. Nothing goes better with a club croissant and potato skins then a milkshake, am I right? Because David was so thoughtful and fun to shop with I agreed to watch the movie he bought earlier. It was “Immortals” and he just HAD to buy the Blu-Ray version. Let’s just say if you liked “300” then you will like this movie, and David LOVES “300”. He’s my 39 year old going on 13 years old.  Friday required me to drink LOTS of coffee to get thru as it was cold again outside and my day started at 6am. Though cold and windy I got to enjoy those fluffy Ohio clouds I love so much as the sky was full of them. Our Dish Network was acting funny that night so we cuddled to some recorded shows and prepared for Saturday. I actually got a little sleep in time as I didn’t need to be at work until 11am and I sure needed it as I felt very sick today. By the time my shift ended at 3pm I needed to lie down in a bad way. David brought me home medicine, 7-UP and Honey graham crackers to help my ailing body. He always takes such great care of me. He held me close all night and though my body felt bad my heart felt great for another week together.
