My scraproom is actually an enclosed carport. The brick wall used to be the outside brick of the house. It has two walls of windows and is almost as bright as being outside. The room is right beside the garage and because of the pitch of our roof, the previous owners could not build this "family room" off the back of the house, so it wasn't possible to hook it into central heat and air. :( It has a freestanding, ventless gas fireplace and a window air unit. I have to allow time for the room to warm up in the winter and to cool down in the summer, but it's mine all mine. Dh only visits occasionally.
