I LOVE this lo. The pp on the right side is a great idea and I love how you stitched around the entire page..it looks great. The only thing I noticed, like someone else, is that I had trouble reading your title...I missed the "I" right off so I was confused. But other than that, it is awesome!! Great job!
I love the use of additional complimentary strips of ribbon and doo dads on the right side of the page. They add to the excitement of the page, but do not distract from the primary focus, the boy riding that motorcycle thing. Good choice of papers for the boys layout. If you want to make this into a 2 page payout, perhaps you could do a lot of journaling on the other page. Potential journaling topics? Who bought it? How did he react? How often does he use it? Where does he ride it? How do you get him to come in for dinner?
Wow!! I really love those paper scraps on black paper! The stitching border really grounds everything, and I like how you arranged the pictures on the left side! Awesome LO!
Love the "scrap" stripes and the way you did the title! Having fun outside is a lost art for many of today's kids but he looks like one happy guy!
This is gorgeous Dawn, love the design, did something like this myself recently, great minds think alike, love the way you stitched round the whole LO and the photos are awesome, you must be very proud of your son, TFS :)
I love this layout. The way you matted the photos was great, and your scraps and swirly stitching are perfect! I did have some trouble reading the title. It took me a sec to realize that the "I" was a letter and not a continuation of the scraps from the other side. I wonder how it would look if matted or bordered it with white to increase the continuity of your title. Wanna come teach me how to stitch? You make it look so easy!
This is a fantastic lo Dawn! One of my very favorites of yours! I love all the different pp and scraps and how they go together so well. Love the stitching, and really dig how you did your title too! Very well done!
I did this LO for AGC hosted by NewMommy2Scrap aka Ally and UTSC hosted by Queen of Paper aka Heidi!! Every other piece of pp on the right side is BG scraps not counting the ribbon & the tag with OFF!!
Feb 2006. This is my ds when he finally could ride his motorcycle all by himself. What a happy day!! He rides almost everyday weather permitting that is. He was so proud of himself and when he wrecks he gets right back on goes on like nothing ever happened!! My little man is growing up on me!!!
Thanks for looking and have a beautiful day!! ~*Dawn*~
