dan's 51 ford

My husband's restoration project; this is the before picture.
Journaling: Dan has been talking about restoring a classic car for quite awhile now, so when he came across this '51 ford, he decided that this was a good model for his first project. we drove 8 hours to Seymour, Tx to pick it up, and 8 hours back, but she's a beauty. i love the rounded shape to it, the beautiful lines, and the way she sits. even as rusty as she is, you can see the potential waiting to be brought out. the man who sold it to dan said it was his first car, and hated to see it go, but was grateful that it was going to someone who would restore it. i was astonished that the motor still worked, and he had it running when we drove up. he had obviously taken good care of it, and i was excited at the prospect of what dan would do with it. nov 2004
