Journaling: So, this was the 2nd annual UT Physicians pumpkin decorating contest. Sienna Village had won the first one, so we were pretty sure that they would not give us another win, no matter what we presented. So, we procrastinated...the day before the judging, the crew started asking each other- are we going to enter???? It was decided that we would. I was recruited because the staff knew I was into crating. They had decided on the Mad Hatter, and I was mandated to craft the hat. From scratch. For tomorrow. Are you serious? Yes, and we need it by early tomorrow morning, don't let us down. I thought furiously until I got home, and after gulping down dinner, I went upstairs and started brainstorming. Luckily, or shamefully, I had everything I needed to craft the hat you see in the pictures. Maybe hoarding is a good thing??? I dropped it off the next morning- I had a meeting downtown- and they finished assembling the finished product. Let me tell you, we had stiff competition, but, guess what? We won again!! I am so proud of our team, and glad to be part of it!!! 10/2016
