Two years ago good friends from Washington State came for a visit. She is very active in community theatre and well traveled, but had never been to NYC. We had a BLAST doing Broadway and all of the touristy things with them.

Although these pics are beautiful, they are bittersweet. My husband lost dozens of friends in 911, I lost 19 parishioners from my church. Neither of us wanted to visit ground zero, but our friends were determined, we are so glad we did. The Reflection Pool rendered us all speechless, the size and the sounds of the water...a beautiful tribute to the victims!! (right side) The reflection of the clouds in the Freedom Tower was gorgeous!

I kept asking our friends if they wanted to take the Circle Line (boat) around the island to see the Statue of Liberty and the skyline, I couldn't convince them. Once we were on our way out of the city, they changed their minds, so we went to Liberty State Park in NJ, which is where the pics on the left were taken. We had a great shot of the Statue's BACK!!!! Whatever ;) It was a great view of the skyline.

Sooo...how much do I LOVE Graphic 45 Cityscapes!!! The colors match the NY skyline perfectly!!! I stayed pretty true to the June 2 page sketch challenge, allowing the papers to take center stage without a lot of embellishing. The stars are cut with Cricut's Plantain Schoolhouse cartridge. TFL!
