Today was the "Special Day for Special Kids" event at the Curwood Festival. Josh got a wrist band and got to ride all the rides for free. My mom went with us and we pushed Bella around in the stroller.

I didn't know what to expect from Josh; he's very nervous about trying new things. I got him to ride on the merry-go-round with me and he seemed to enjoy it. He didn't want to ride anything else, so we walked around a bit. I asked him about another ride and he pointed to the merry-go-round waaaaay across the carnival and said "weeee!" and I said, "do you want to ride the merry-go-round again?" He answered yes so we did!

Then he saw the car ride and wanted to go on that. I was hesitant because I knew he'd have to do it alone and I was afraid if I walked away he would freak out. Boy was I wrong! He got right in the car and didn't even bat an eye when I walked out and stood at the fence around the ride. He ended up going on that ride 4 or 5 times, and we had to drag him away kicking and screaming to leave!

We had free pizza for lunch, Josh rode the cars some more, and we went home. He had a great time!
