Give a Cheer
My first Bible journal page, with one of my favorite scriptures highlighted:
"Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting
But a woman who fears the Lord
Is to be praised." (Proverbs 31:30)
I stumbled across this Bible at Hobby Lobby on sale for a fantastic price so thought I'd try my hand at Bible journaling. Since it isn't designed to officially have artwork added, I learned these pages didn't like the water being added (got all crinkly), so I'll keep this Bible's art to waterless distressing. I know, VERY difficult for me! (wink) Will probably just do a few art pieces in my favorite books of my favorite scriptures, then give it to my pink lovin' niece for her Birthday in a few days.

UPDATE that melted my heart: When we gave it to her, she opened it up to this page and said "Oh my...did you DO this?" She was genuinely touched. I hope over the years it will encourage her to get into the Word more, somehow make the Word come to life for her, and know how deeply God loves and cherishes her.
