This LO is for UYS week 1. I used only pp, even for the matting. I did not do the monochromatic twist. I just love chaotic color schemes too much! For this traditional LO, I was inspired by this digi LO by NikkiARNGwife http://www.scrapbook.com/myplace/index.php?mod=galleries&u=410819&m=view&id=2845819&type=-1&start=20&page=1&f=1.
I cut the top note shapes with my expression. That is machine stitching on the edge of the green paper. All of the papers are from Rusted Sun by Fancy Pants. I used to be allergic to sticker, you could even call me a sticker snob, but I find myself using cardstock stickers all the time these days. And I certainly used at least half a dozen here. Also used the obligatory rub on and brads.
I stamped the letters for "JUMP" in archival ink. That pp is actually a scrap piece I had laying around from All About Boys by DCWV. Cut the letters out and voila! It's an oldie technique that found new life on this LO.
My DS is 2 years old here. That was the only summer he was brave enough to jump in the pool. He hasn't done it since (he's four now). He's the very cautious type, I guess. Anyway, I always loved this picture. I think it embodies summer days perfectly. It's one of those pictures I've scrapped more than once and will probably find myself scrapping it again someday.
