A few months ago, I was at TJ Maxx or Ross and I found an awesome container to hold my kits and in-progress pages. It was fabric covered and the most ADORABLE floral print... ever. But then I changed the decor of my scrap space, an it didn't match, so I moved it to the bedroom to hold magazines. But I LOVED it, and I doubted very highly that I'd ever find another just as perfect.
So I went to Ross (the awesome, bargain store) on a mission.
I needed a container 15 inches long, over 10 inches high, more than 6 inches wide, with an open top, and it had to *match* my space's decor... and not break the bank (read: under $15). A tall order for a "hit or miss" store.
And what do you know?! I found ONE! One in the whole store... correct size and color. And the price? SIX DOLLARS. The color is "off" just a bit, being beige and a bit darker than the rest of the room, but a coat of Gesso can fix that fairly quickly. ;) It's still perfect, and how cute is that design?! For cute! I know. :)
This holds my layout kits (from classes and conventions) as well as my "pages in progress" that I put aside for one reason or another. I love that this "sits out" because it makes it very easy to take out (for a crop or quick project) or put in projects.
AND... I keep extra empty Craft Keeper Envelopes (found at Michaels), Cropper Hopper Sticker Envelopes, and Cropper Hopper Page Planners (all three are great for storing "in-progress" pages) in the back if I need to add a project to it for later.
I'll probably add the class kits from classes and conventions (all these are in progress still... LOL) to a Cropper Hopper Vertical Storage Holder in the future, but for now, this is where they live.
