Every year around this time I pause and try to make a page to remind myself that no matter how awful the news is, no matter how scary the possibilities- never let fear dictate my choices.
Despite countless tests and procedures, doctors could not find a medical reason for the very serious issues with my first pregnancy. I was warned she may have a fatal chromosomal disorder or heart defect. I decided to ignore advise to "terminate" the pregnancy and made a promise that I would love and protect my baby no matter what. Lola was born 6 weeks early and spent some very tough weeks in the NICU but no defects or chromosomal disorders have been detected- a mystery with a good ending.
This page uses a new technique Melissa Mann introduced over at the Greenfrog Studio blog- basically you use your score board to make embossed lines on paper- I really liked the subtle effect.
I used Scrap FX kraft tags, chipboard title and swallow. The tiny stars are from my local scrap store. I also used kitchen grad wax paper and cooking twine.
