My husband (then boyfriend) teased me in college when I typed poems on paper and burned the edges with candles! It works. My favorite ink for doing this is "Ranger Archival Ink Sepia". It works very well.

*Deck the Halls with Distressing* with the twist...never have done distressing before...I sill don't own any ink for it....so I burned the edges to distress for my 1st time (and almost burned down the house trying lol).
Thank you Joann (Scrappinismymiddlename) for the skeleton that I added stickers to and made him into a pirate. Thank you Veronica (Artsyscrapmom) for the brown paper that I used to make the chest with and used as the bg paper. Thank you so much both of you :)
I hand made the treasure chest and filled it with jewelry coins and jewels and the lock was a charm. The silver skull and crossbones is a broken key chain. The red pirate on the treasure is a decoration and I cut that out of packaging.
This was Andrew on H-ween trick'r'treating...he kept saluting with his left hand telling everyone aye aye cap'n :)
Journal: Ahoy Matey! To find me buried treasure chest ye must go on a quest by following this here map. Otherwise it will be walking the plank to Davy Jones Locker for ye. Shake a leg me hearties. Andrew Casas Oct 2009
