The wild flowers in Death Valley were spectacular that year (2005). It was just after a rain shower and there was a huge rainbow spanning the entire sky.
To mat the small photo of my sheltie Flash, I cut out a portion of the large picture and used the photo itself as a mat.
For the GOOD SHELTIES" sign I used an actual photograph of the "BAD WATER" sign. After my PS manipulation, the sign reads: GOOD SHELTIES 282 feet/855 meters Below Sea Level. I cropped the sign close and used an actual wooden stick that I inked with walnut ink for the sign's post.
