Journaling:
These are two of my favorite photos from your NICU days. Seeing you separated and alone in your little giraffe beds was hard for me. Finally the day came when your nurses felt that kangaroo care, being held with me skin-to-skin, would be safe and very beneficial. This day I got to hold both of you together, and my heart sang. You were 12 days old. It was so amazing, and I will never forget it. You were so tiny and it was hard to hold you in place because you kept slipping down my chest. It was such a peaceful time. I had waited for months to know what it would feel like to hold you both in my arms, and this was a day worth waiting for.
