This layout started off with me just trying a couple of new techniques with some scraps - Starsailor's handmade flower and Gabriellep's scallopped border - thanks girls for the inspiration. Starsailors flower really is easy so head on over to her blog for instructions. I also wanted to try some layering that I usually shy away from and can't seem to master just yet. Painting chipboard is usually hit and miss also but I am happy with how the lamp turned out.
The photo is of my grandmother (sitting) and her friend when they were 21 and was taken in 1915. I resisted the urge not to repair the cracks in the pic but now looking at it, I wish I did...I may put another one over the top. I used Kaiser papers - Reminisce and I used LuminArte Twinkling H20's to paint the lamp. TFL :)
