A favourite little spot of mine…hidden in a deep valley just east of Melbourne. In the 1800's it was one of Australia's richest gold area's. For most of the 20th century it had been deserted until it was turned into a tourist destination! Although it is only a short drive out of Melbourne it still does not have television or mobile coverage…in fact it was Victorias last township to receive electricity and that was in 1998…unbelievable considering the States largest Power Station is just down the road. It has the most unique cemetery set on a very steep hill which is on a 45 deg angle to the road and many tales about getting the coffins up the hill…but that is another story and layout! I ended up keeping it simple so as not to take away from the photo! For Chez and Kobe...if you haven't been there, you gotta go!! TFL :)
