Wow! YOu did an awesome job with your new technique! Good for you that you try new things on your layouts!!!! I really love your photos - how adorable you 2 were!
Well look at how cute, little you was. Very pretty LO; I read in your description that you put a lot of thought into the colours, T-shirt inspiration, etc. which adds a very personal touch, and I like that....(I was always the shortest kid in my class.... so I can relate to your height in the pic.)
I do believe you have created a time machine and transported me back to the 80's with your GREAT lo. The colors, design and those adorable photos remind me so much of my daughter when she was younger. She loved her jelly sandals - ahhhh what an era. You have done a marvelous job with the misting, stamping and inking.
Oh my goodness! Your home made patterned paper is divine! I am misting and inking challenged so I admire when people pull off greatnees with inks and mists. Love how you are pushing yourself out of comfort and learning - grasping hold of some fabulous technique. just wow.
Sweet photo and wonderful memories of your birthday. Very thoughtful in organizing the colors based around the trend of the time.
everything about this is delightful! your masking with the KI Memory paper is really fabulous here...and I LOVE your title work! wonderful, wonderful work!
As a newcomer to the world of scrapbooking, I've been challenging myself to include at least one new product or technique which each subsequent page that I design. For this LO I had an absolute blast using a laser cut piece of (KI Memories) paper star patterned paper as a stamping template for my background. These shots hail from my 8th birthday (believe it or not, I was about three months older than my friend, I was just very short as a child). I opted for colours that instantly called to mind the late 80s/early 90s years when the lovely gal (Talia) in this photo with me and I were best friends. Bright, careful, vaguely neon hues that call to mind everything from jelly sandals to slap bracelets, scrunch socks and curly ribbon clustered barrettes – and in this pair of photos, Talia's vibrant star print t-shirt, which was the inspiration for this page design.
~ Heartfelt thanks for checking my page out. Any questions about this LO, please don't hesitate to ask. Wishing you a blissfully creative day! ~
