This is a photograph of my paternal Great Grandparents, Ovila and Octavie Gagne (nee Breault). They had 15 children, but only 7 survived to adulthood! They looked so stern in this photograph, especially Octavie, that I decided to give them a little a little glamor treatment, I felt they deserved it! So I made this background paper and turned it into a frame that I felt was befitting of the Gilded Age, the era this photo was taken in. I used molding paste to create the pattern and then used gold leaf powders to sprinkle over the paste, creating the ornate gold frame. I distressed it a bit with sprays and inks. Also used items from my stash of old laces and trims.
This is my entry for the March heritage challenge, the twist being use green.
